Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 2026

1. Payment of Fees

Brilliant Tutors Academy will charge a £25 administration fee each time it becomes necessary to pursue a late payment.

If the agreed payment schedule is not followed and the child continues to attend lessons, Brilliant Tutors Academy reserves the right to cancel any instalment arrangement and require immediate payment of all outstanding fees, including the remaining balance of the full course fee.

Failure to pay an instalment may result in the pupil being excluded from further classes.

2. Commencement of Tuition

A child may only attend classes once Brilliant Tutors Academy has received the non-refundable and non-transferable deposit, together with either:

  • the completed first monthly instalment, or
  • full payment of the course fees.

3. Withdrawal and Cancellation

If you wish to withdraw your child from the course before the end of the academic year, you must give Brilliant Tutors Academy at least 30 days' written notice by email.

Please note that the course fee is an annual course fee for the academic year. Where fees are paid monthly, these payments are interest-free instalments towards the full annual course fee and should not be treated as a monthly pay-as-you-go arrangement.

The registration fee/deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Once written notice has been given, fees will be payable up to and including the full month in which the 30-day notice period ends. The monthly instalment for that month must be paid in full, regardless of whether your child attends all lessons in that month. All discounts will be removed.

If a student stops attending without written notice, fees will continue to be payable. The 30-day notice period will only begin once written notice has been received by Brilliant Tutors Academy.

Any overpayment beyond the amount due will be refunded.

4. Venues

  • Reading centre, Earley RG6 1EY
  • River Academy, Caversham RG1 8EQ
  • Gloucestershire
  • Slough

5. Group Size

Class sizes are usually between 15 and 18 pupils. When a class reaches 18 pupils, we split the group and create a new class to maintain teaching quality and individual support.

6. Teaching Process

Teaching is delivered by an experienced and qualified tutor.

The tutor will aim to work with each student during the session to ensure that each child has a full understanding of the topic before moving on.

If a student does not feel confident in any area, this can be raised:

  • directly with the tutor during the session,
  • by parents via email or telephone, or
  • through the weekly assessments.

7. Materials

All teaching materials provided during the course are included in the course fee.

Replacement copies of lost or damaged books must be paid for by the parents/adults.

8. Missed Lessons

If a lesson is cancelled by Brilliant Tutors Academy, a replacement extra help session will be arranged.

If a child misses a lesson because of illness or family commitments and cannot be booked into another lesson, the child may be offered an individual extra help session at the teacher's discretion.

Course fees will not normally be reduced because of missed lessons.

9. Applications to Schools

Parents are responsible for making applications to schools, although guidance may be given by the tutor.

Parents are advised to visit schools of their choice on open days during the autumn term before the 11+ examinations.

Advice will also be given to parents during the run up period.

10. Contact Details

All payments, payment queries and administrative correspondence should be directed to:

  • Telephone: 01184050184
